NBCA Professional Christian Educator Certification Program

The National Bible College Association offers teacher certification. The NBCA Teacher Certification Program provides professional certification for eligible educators desiring to pursue a profession in Christian education. Additionally, teachers who have been trained in secular universities, who desire to attain confidence in biblical education are encouraged to seek NBCA certification, which includes coursework in Teaching Principles, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Biblical Philosophy of Education and Life of Christ. All of our NBCA Teacher Certification courses are offered completely online.

INSTRUCTOR LEVEL CREDENTIAL
Education, Training, and Experience

    • Completion of a 2 year degree;
    • Recommendation of a member school;
    • Formal Observation by an NBCA certified school representative;
    • At least 200 hours of working in Christian Education program
    • Educating from a Biblical World View, or equivalent Philosophy of Christian Education course.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CREDENTIAL
Education, Training, and Experience

    • 4 year degree
    • To include minimum of 6 hours in early childhood education(birth to age 8);
    • Minimum of one (1) year working in Christian Education program
    • PEC/CET completion Bible, Educating from a Biblical World View, or equivalent Philosophy of Christian Education course.
    • 6 hours in Advanced Biblical Studies from Bible College or University, or;
    • 10 Continuing Education Units (CEU).
    • Credentialed clergy from a recognized denomination may be exempt from this requirement. Please send a copy of ministerial credentials with application.

PROFESSIONAL LEVEL CREDENTIAL
Education, Training, and Experience

    • Graduate level or higher degree
    • Minimum of twelve (12) hours of specific early childhood education (birth to age 8) to include areas of methods of instruction, growth and development, curriculum, health and safety.
    • Minimum of one (5) years working in Christian Education program
    • PEC/CET completion: Bible, Educating from a Biblical World View, or equivalent Philosophy of Christian Education course.
    • 12 hour in Advanced Biblical Studies from Bible College or University, or;
    • 30 Continuing Education Units (CEU).
